About these terms
These terms cover the use of this website and the basis on which MB Roofing Specialists quotes for and carries out roofing work. Your written quotation and any specification attached to it form the contract for the work itself, and where anything here conflicts with your quotation, the quotation applies.
Using this website
The content on this site is provided for general information about our services. Roofing advice on this website is general in nature and is not a substitute for an inspection of your property. We take care to keep the site accurate but we do not guarantee that every page is complete or current at all times.
The text, images, layout and code of this site belong to MB Roofing Specialists or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not republish or reproduce them commercially without our written permission.
Quotations
Quotations are free and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are based on what can be seen at the time of inspection. Where work uncovers hidden defects, for example rotten timbers or failed decking beneath a covering, we will stop, tell you what we have found, and agree any additional cost with you in writing before continuing.
Booking and access
Dates are given in good faith and can move because of weather, which we do not control. Working at height in high winds or ice is not safe and we will not do it. You agree to provide reasonable access to the property, including for scaffolding where the quotation includes it.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in your quotation. Where a deposit is required for materials or scaffolding it will be stated in writing before you commit. Invoices are due within the period shown on the invoice.
Guarantees
Workmanship guaranteed, with manufacturer material guarantees on qualifying installations. Guarantees cover our workmanship and the materials we supply. They do not cover storm damage, accidental damage, alterations by others, or failures in parts of the roof outside the scope of the work quoted.
Cancellation
Where you are a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our business premises, you have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within that period and then cancel, you may be charged for the work already done. Your cancellation rights are set out in full in your quotation.
Complaints
If something is not right, tell us. Email mbroofingspecialists1@gmail.com or call 07440354692 and we will respond within five working days. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Liability
We hold public liability insurance and the certificate is available on request. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
