Flat roofs fail when the falls are wrong, the detailing is rushed or the covering has simply reached the end of its life. We strip back to deck, correct the falls, install insulation to current building regulations and finish in the covering that suits the roof, whether that is EPDM rubber, high performance felt or a liquid system.

- Firrings installed so water runs to the outlet instead of ponding
- Warm deck build ups insulated to meet current Part L requirements
- Upstands, trims, outlets and abutments detailed properly so the edges never fail first

Flat roofing, your questions answered
How long should a flat roof last?
A correctly installed EPDM or high performance felt system should give you twenty years or more. Cheap single layer felt laid over a soft deck can fail in five. The deck and the detailing decide the lifespan, not just the covering.
Can you fix ponding water on my flat roof?
Yes. Standing water almost always means the falls are insufficient or the deck has sagged. We correct it with firring pieces or a new deck rather than laying a new covering over the same problem.
